Bridge located to the west of the city, existed already in the mid-fourteenth century, replacing another boat located nearby.

Destroyed in the fratricidal war between Pedro I and Enrique II, it was rebuilt by order of Bishop Pedro Tenorio. It has five pointed arches on sturdy pillars and has two hexagonal towers at its ends. The entrance to the city is presided over by a great imperial shield with its corresponding seated kings.

The inner tower is very disfigured by additions and subsequent reforms, under the reign of Carlos II, while the exterior keeps its ribbed vaults and ogival and horseshoe arches.

It is declared a National Monument in 1921.
